Nice painting, Leaflin, but very sad. I hope you'll be all right.

Unhappy

I felt overwhelming sadness then compassion for leaflin when I looked at this piece.

That poor abused, broken, defeated body, the bleak surroundings, the roots above the ground, suggesting that even this barren and dismal place that she is supported by is fragile... Such suffering. I can't believe how anyone thought of swiss cheese, when the emotional impact of this is so very great.

I am pleased that the sun is there - I hope it is rising and not setting. And I hope the flourishing green land beyond is where she is going, to heal, rather than the place she is being kept outside of.

Helen

Thank you everyone.
Helen the sun is rising
Originally there was a clear path to the rising sun and the green hills.
(which are greener in the painting)
But inside I couldn't see the path so I took it out.
The path is within.
I know this is different for me as I generally do fun, lighthearted work and try to look on the bright side.
It was suggested to me to paint what I felt.
So I did.
It helped some
Thanks.
