two wolves-wip

Hi Folks!!

I am about to do my first piece with colored pencils on black paper. It is
really exciting, and frustrates me a little, as the paper holds not as much layers as I want....
It is black ingres-paper. It was the one with the smoothest surface I found here. it is a little like canson, but thicker. But, as I said, it holds not enough
layers. Guess I will order black stonehenge from Dick Blick the next days.
I am working with Karismacolor and Bruynzeel Full Color.
really hope you like it.

The first is my initial sketch, the second shows what I have done till now.

Chris

Wonderful wolfs, once you put it on the right paper there will be no stopping you. Looking forward to the finished piece. Welcome.

The black really sets off the silvery fur. This is going to be a great pic.

Re: two wolves-wip

Hey,

maybe you can see alittle more on this pic...
Thank you so much for your nice comments on my work!!
I will do no background, only a little ground. Not quite sure yet if it will be a
snow or stone-earth one!!

Chris,
das wird ganz fabelhaft!
Wonderfully - have to watch this thread - to see this painting finished.

I am not happy with Ingres-paper, too. It's hard to find the right one ;9

Have fun

Rita

Beautiful! I love working with black paper. From here it doesn't look like you are having any trouble. Can't wait to see it finished. wanda

Re: two wolves-wip

You are doing great Chris!

Look into this thread to see if you have other choices of black paper in Europe...
