Waterlillies, take 2

After wonderful suggestions and letting this sit a few days, I have taken this as far as I think I'm going to. Is there improvement in the water? I really changed the color and did the black under dark green with purples. I also worked on the shapes of the lillies in the background, to try and get the perspective right. 12x18
New and improved on left, (my original disaster on right )

I wouldn't call the first attempt a disaster. i think it is still very beautiful...the second version just looks alot more polished. Good job!

You caught the look of the water very well in the new one...still need the slight reflection of the blossoms but that won't be difficult, I think! I like both versions, so don't discard either one! You've learned a LOT of these and they're both beautiful!

Oh yes,,,noticable improvement. ....tell us what you learned from this....sometimes I think that is more important than the finished piece.
