My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
This is a woman who I will always love because she has a most beautiful heart and soul. Always giving and always willing. Never a sharp word or tone.
If any of you are ever in Folsom or Sacramento, please join us in our worship and I will introduce you to Lisa

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
I can see the banner was inspired by faith. She certainly did a wonderful job. Just how big is it? It looks as big as she is.........lol She is a lovely lady with a lot of talent

Polly, Larry and Sassy,
Lisa is amazing and yep, she is adorable isn't she . She does some great abstract work and is an accomplished painter amongst other wonderful examples she put forth. Well, enough rattling now.
She'll probably see this and go and I will just say HI !

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
P, you are so funny. How did you make me look so tall : The banner is 6' x 9' and I'm 5'2 and a half". P, you are such an encourager...always challenging me to grow. (no pun intended) Thank you all for the great comments! I'll have to hang out here more often.

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
I am a fairly decent photographer, or haven't I informed you of this . Besides, didn't I do your tinyhead of you bouncing so gleefully down that big yellow slide like a kid . You are probably up to your eyeballs in framing orders today . Well, I kept forgetting how big this thing was and never really paid much attention 7 months ago. I just knew it was BIG!
This is a great forum. I don't come here as often as I should. When you have more time come and spend time to see others people art.

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
Next time I hit Sac-Town to see family I will do just that... Of course there are just a few churches up there... Which one is yours? Oh, that banner is rocking!

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
Here is our church. Lisa is in charge of visual arts and we are not that old in the church. Many more things to come. Also here is a cross that some of the other artists did in the group. I missed this one. it is beautiful!

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
Cool Cross! My big contribution to my church aside from tape and cd labels and covers was a veggie tales mural for the pre-k kids. I am starting a new mural for the kids church soon. Well painting it anyway it's traced and ready to go.

Re: My Very Special Friend Lisa & her Banner
Hi Vegas, thanks for your comments. we've also done several murals in the kids' rooms. it's a lot of work but it really enhances the children's programs. We're thinking about teaching art classes at the church for adults and kids. We have an art group that meets once a week to draw and paint together. It's great to get the artists in the church involved in projects together. It really makes a difference in their creativity and their lives in general.
Pilan, JVo sent me a cd with some amazing art in a church in LA. I want to show it to you.
