Beautiful sky

I have never posted in this forum before but last week I took some pictures of a rainbow as it formed from one end to another and when I finished and turned around this was what I saw. I thought I would share it. I'm not a photographer and this was taken with a Kodak digital DX3600 camera.

I hope we see lots more of your photos. This is a beautiful picture and a good composition. I like the way you've captured a good depth of field in it too. The sky seems to go on forever.

Kate, Margie, thanks for the welcome and your comments. I usually post in digital art forum, or the WDE forum. Once in a while in the acrylic or drawing forums. Like I said I am not a photographer in the sense I know anything about cameras, lenses or the like but I take lots of pics intended for future paintings. Once in a while I get some really good ones.

rule#1 be on site with a camera when something happens
rule#2 take as many shots as you can cram in, using your artist's compositional eye not just for framing but for catching the play of light.
rule#3 select select select, the one or three that are the best!

none of us get a perfect shot every time
