You can get the quotes to come through as quotes by cutting and pasting what you want to quote into the box that comes up when you hit the little "quote" icon on the 'reply' page. Or you can just hit "quote" under the particular part of the thread you would like to reply to.

Giving you a "formal warning" (no less) for such a small thing is completely hypocritical. All form, no content. They should feel honoured to have a painter of your calibre here. I can conclude nothing else then what PJ already stated : that some folks are out for an excuse (no matter how minute) to ban you. Shame on them! If they succeed then the loss is completely WC's.

Once again I wonder who is filing these complaints. I don't believe it to be Trankina, he's not a whiner. Many would want to have more people like you here. Only a misguided and, probably, unnatural few want to steer WC to a "Kumbaya campfire thing". And, from all appearances, it seems the moderators are only too happy to oblige them, ignoring the needs of the many.

Oil painting is where the "real meat" of the artists are at. This forum shouldn't be some childish kindergarten thing. It should be the center piece of WC. In the short span that I've been away I already saw some good artists leave to Ceninni or other forums. Is this what this forum's policy is aiming at? To only keep whiners who love to be in threads congratulating each other with their birthday? Is this what the sponsors would want? Remember : those hobbyists don't buy real paint and not in the quantities real artists do.

Well, Jeffrey, if you're kicked over something so completely insignificant as this then the moderator's intentions will be fully clear to me and I won't feel any necessity to stay here anymore as well.

Honestly folks, this thread continues to be a problem. It is not remaining on the subject of oils any longer and it's going absolutely nowhere, except for causing a lot of discontent and moderator bashing and it is becoming very annoying to many members here.

I see a lot of "childish" things here Paul - quite frankly, my opinion is that a lot of your whining is in fact quite childish.

Sorry Jeffery - have to close it. Also, PM's are meant to be just that - you were warned before not to post your "warnings" in the open forums. Why - because it causes too much blackflak just like all of this. It's ridiculous and uncalled for.
