Sailing at Sunrise

This is a 36X48 inch Acrylic on Canvas, painted for a room decorated in a near white carnation pink and a medium burgundy on the wall where the painting
is hung. It was a commission but, I had a hard time letting it go, I like it better than the client does. I thought I might get some input from you all.
Blessings,
David

Re: Sailing at Sunrise

Hi David,
Very nice work indeed, I can see how the palette would complement the decor in the room, especially with the pinks in the sky. Nice perspective and distance, it must be impressive at that size.
It is hard to give up a work you feel has really succeeded in what you were trying to achieve. I find the best antidote is to start on another one and lose yourself in it, the concentrated effort soon lets your last favourite fade into the background and the pain of giving it up fades.
