Just saying hello
Hello everyone,
I am new to WC so I wanted to say hello. I am from the UK originally, but at the moment living in Singapore. Got interested in jewelry design about 7 years ago, and have been making things ever since. Have the occasional detour into something that involves sewing, but mostly it's semi-precious stones and glass beads that keep me busy.
Most impressed with the standard of the work here ( and on the Glass Art forum ). I look forward to participating, in some of the discussions. Just re read this and it sounds very seriously boring, so I will confess that one little part of me really really wanted to attatch the " naughty bottom " icon to this message ! going now before I get into trouble on my first post. Fiona

Welcome to Wearable Art Fiona. So far we haven't had any 'naughty bottom' jewelry. Whether you make 'naughty bottom' jewelry or the regular kind I would love to see some of your work. I'm sure we are all going to have serious envy of you with your access to the semi-precious stone market in Asia.

Re: Just saying hello
Thankyou everyone for the warm welcome. Sorry to disappoint but I do "regular" jewelry, absolutely no naughty bottoms. Although, come to think of it I bet some of the glass artists over on the other forum could do a nice line in those, rather like an upside down heart !
I am going to try and attatch a picture of the project I just finished. I had collected all these beads over many years, used to wear them as singles on a wire, but then when I bought the Bali silver I was inspired to just put the whole thing together. I will wear them more this way. Fiona

Re: Just saying hello
Great idea for a bracelet. Those Bali beads are very different. I've never seen any like that before. That Warring States bead is the best and the two orange ones are really interesting. I am also taken with those grey spider webby ones.

Re: Just saying hello
Welcome Fiona!! What a pretty bracelet! I love the Bali, and the beads are very cool. The Warring States is cool, but I really like the two orangy ones. The little greenish one near the clasp is pretty too. Hope we get to see more of your stuff!

Hi Fiona,
Welcome from me, too! Great bracelet! I love the colors. Hope to see a lot of you here.
And Karen, I don't think I ever said 'hi' to you. Welcome to you as well!
