blending.....

You guys make incredible pictures. I've read about blending, dragging color from dark to light etc etc, but I dont get it. perhaps someone could post some step by steps or link a site where they have an .avi or mpeg file showing how they blend. Unfortunately i'm a visual learner and reading about something is not enough for me to grasp. I need to see it. anyone???

It's easy really! Just put down some dark colour - doesn't have to be any shape, then get a piece of toilet paper/stump/tortillion (not your finger as they can leave oily marks) and polish it making sure you go over the edges...you should find a lovely lighter shade all around your original pencil marks...

Another way to look at it is once the blending tool has graphite, use it as you would any other tool- have you ever looked at any of Lee Hammonds books? She goes into alot of detail on how to use them...
