The countdown is on~
Hello fellow glassers! I've missed everyone so much! I finally have found a house, we close June 11, not fast enough for me. It's a 1700 sq ft brick ranch built in 1949, 3 BR, 1.5 B. Not as large as I wanted or in as perfect of shape, (the kitchen is still in the 1940's) but its on an acre and a half of land in the middle of the city (very rare for here!). So I'm hoping to be back on the torch, on WC (I so miss having my computer) and back up and running with my website again. It's been torture not being able to do the things I love.
I see there are some new people here, and I've heard that everyone has been getting along well in my absence  . I sure missed all of you. So what's new and exciting???? |

We miss you!!! <G> Congrats on the house and I know what you mean by the old kitchen etc LOL parts of our house are around 100 yrs old <whee>
New and exciting hmmm well nothing much on my front but Im sure others have stuff to tell you, been rather boring of late around our house.

Thanks for the welcome back Nicole, Penelle, Beth, Karen, and Nicole!!! I won't be back in full swing till we get in the house and I get the internet back on. Two more weeks of misery I guess for me!  Then watch out, you all will be sick of me posting doncha know! Nice to see familiar faces again, and Congrats Beth on the Guiding!
It's beautiful here. My DH and DD are arguing over the mountain view bedroom, we'll see what happens! The yard is like a park, especially when you come into the driveway, some beech and oak trees that take two people to wrap their arms around. It's really nice to hope that it's mine! It has a basement and an enclosed sunroom (mudroom) and I haven't decided where to put my glass room. It does need work, but that will come with time. My kids will be happy in it I think and there's plenty of room for us all.
We had a bad storm come through last night, actually had a tornado touch down about 25 miles N of us, pretty scary burst of wind for a second. And they keep telling me that we don't get tornadoes here, but you couldn't have said that to me last night when we lost power.
Feels so good to be around my glassy friends again.

I think you and the DH need the mountain view bedroom. It'll make good torch inspiration waking up to the image of the earth reaching toward the sky.
Sorry your welcoming committee included a rare tornado. They happen up there, but not very often.
Good luck with the house, hope the financing goes through without too many phone calls, information updates, and molasass-slow bankers.
Oh yeah, and Welcome, ya'll to our neck of the woods!

Wow, we sure have missed your sunny face in the morning thread, but have diligently kept your smile alive and well, even though it has a new title of MIA Lenda smile
Congratulations on your new home!!! If it was perfect you would feel guilty making it your's, now you can add all those personal touches that make it a home instead of a house.
I am looking forward to having you chime in regularly again. You know these guys, they can get boring, if someone isn't around to stir the pot on occasion.
