I can tell you a name that didn't make it there

There is some real good work there. but Gee I feel something is missing.

Could ya tell it was me. I meet Vera Curnow the founder of the CPSA back in June of this year. shrotly after getting my rejection, She told me to don't feel hurt about not makeing it into the show, that I do good work and to try agine next year, after all she didn't even make it into the show.

Well I'll try agine next year.

Heads up, Phil.

It´s certainly not easy to get into such things, and besides good work you need a little luck.

keep on

Due to the sensitve nature of what is and what is not considered to be art, I will reserve comment on this matter.

I think that says it all.

Not really. I´m a bit slow.

I pointed to the url not because of the outstanding quality of the painting but because of the affinity to a recent event (notice I´m avoiding the term "prophecy"). Maybe I chose the wrong forum.

And I think it is art. But I do not think art is always good or valuable just because its art. But I´m not sensitive about my opinion.

cheers

The artist who did that piece is Scott Bruza...it's listed on the page with all the winning artwork shown.

Ivy i wonder if two weeks ago you would have considered it art? course if get into a discussion about it, i'll have to move this thread to debates

Suffice it to say, I thought the same thing I do now as I did when I first saw it And debates is full enough at the moment, and the topic has been well addressed before now

wooooooooooweeeeee!! That picture IS GOOD! I love art like that... illustrators, I think, are among the greatest artists on earth. Did he draw this before "the event"? Eerie.
Did you see that thing on the site called "Grey"? Is that the artwork? Are they telling me it's worth $500? Please tell me that's not the actual picture...

Thanks for posting that link, it's good to see what kind of CP work gets accepted.... (That sounds sarcastic, but it's not... I swear!)

Well, I had come across that pic before, and I
do like it. I wish though that I knew what the
artist was trying to say. I'm no good at all at
interpreting art. Interesting timing though.

yeah, this one is very inviting to sit down, look around and have a rest

but to be serious, it is a remarkable piece of work, silent but strong.
