Hello and welcome to WC. I really like this painting - really nice colours and the detail on the cloth. I visited your site and loved the other paintings also. I look forward to seeing more.

Welcome to Wetcanvas

aaasp-

I also enjoy seeing your paintings very, very much this morning! Thank you so much for posting them. Are these acrylic or oil?

Wonderful to see your development of the fabrics and your construction of forms with light and shadow. Beautiful work.

Thank you Michael. I am enjoying the lively response on "Wetcanvas".
All the paintings are oil oncanvas although some of the undercoats can be acrylic.

putting a face on the body

Yes, the face of your model make the body more personal...I'm going to shoot for that...thanks for showing me what can be done. (it will take me years, of course, but that's half the fun)

But the idea would come to go back into it, assuming that the more times I’d go back into it, the better it’d get. Well, it’s just the reverse!! It doesn’t work that way. It’s a gift. It’s kind of given to you" -Nathan Oliveira
