Japanese Scarecrows!

Here is an outdoor scuplture of Carolyn's Japanese Scarecrows with kelp for hair that we picked up today at the beach. The kimonos are almost finished and will be added with arms very soon. I think they are pretty outrageous and broke me up so when I saw them this afternoon, I had to submit her work. L

They're terrific - I love the different expressions. Carolyn has a lot of talent.

I do hope you will post another pic when they get their clothes. Thanks for sharing.

so i never thought of kelp for hair but it sure works well. i have rather spock like eyebrows and the one on the left comes real close to having my shape of brow.
