Dan, The colors in your paintings are just breathtaking! And thanks for sharing that other post, it was so interesting to read about your experience. Beautiful work, I love it!

I'd sure love to be able to see your show! These are wonderful, as usual. It's clear that nobody has to teach you to pastel with passion! The colors sing and shout with life.

As to you being the older of the two in the picture....how can we tell which is older in all that gear????

Re: spring-fall

I loved seeing both versions...there's comfort in watching things change over the seasons. The mood is quite different...none of your bright reds in the spring pic and the water and sky are diffused, but it's my favorite because it makes me feel reflective. Thanks for sharing the story too.

Re: spring-fall

Very nice Dan, Love the way you took a green scene and turned it into a colorfest. Gotta love the colors.

Re: spring-fall

Those choppy strokes almost remind me of a linocut--a relative of mine owns some landscapes done in a reduction method that have a similar texture. But nothing like your colors! That always blows me away when I see your work! It seems to open new vistas everywhere.

Re: spring-fall

I really enjoy seeing the original photo of the scene and then seeing how you turn it into something so wonderful with so much color.
