I smiled as soon as the painting appeared on my screen. Precious and charming. "Kids are fun" indeed---even the furry kinds!

Re: Jill and Kittens

Bonnie,

This is a fun picture. The girl's right eye (the lower one) seems to have too much white showing--it goes all the way to the edge of her face. The mouth could be a little more detailed--a subtle indication of teeth, perhaps.

The kittens look very kitten-like, especially the one meowing on the right.

Cheers,
Kent

Cool Re: Jill and Kittens

Thank you for the comments. It always help to see from someone else's view. I have been painting for a long time but have been a lonesome painter not sharing with other artists. Thanks again. I needed your input.

Re: Jill and Kittens

okay! the cat with mouth open next to foot is kick bootie. this is a handsome work. I'd want you to spend a little more time on key features here, but you've done very well with the cuteness factor.

I want a kitten now.

have fun

Re: Jill and Kittens

"Look what I found, Mommy!" I laughed outloud when I saw this. The set up seems perfect (little kid posture is right on). As a cat person, I think you got the kittens just right. The only question I have is--Child's hairline seems a little too square or broad or something.

I would love to hang this in my house.

Thanks for your reviews. I sure enjoy having people see my art work and sharing their ideas. You have encouraged me even more to paint more.

Applause for kittens. The white space around them makes them look like they're glowing, but I like it.

Norman Rockwell was very good at drawing heads. You might look at or copy a few. He drew dozens or hundreds of skulls as a student.
