yet another peacock - finished!!

This is my finished version. Done on dark blue mountboard ad using Lyra rembrandt and berol karismacolour pencils. Just got the Lyra pencils and this has given them a bit of a work out.
I did a lot of layering and some burnishing on the neck, layering only on the rest of it. The feathers on his neck really were clumped together like this as it was raining hard when i took the photographs and the bird was soaking wet !
In retrospect I think I should have used a lighter blue background but as it has only taken about 6 hours to finish (and I have not done any birds in CP before) I am not too disappointed. Have enjoyed looking at all the other peacocks as well - so much variety!

I like the background, it looks like something Audubon would have done. Your peacock looks so majestic.

I love the way you've layered the colours like that, and the hint of a background. As everyone else said: Very Majestic.
