Peony Tulips

This is a half sheet of CP 300 lb. Arches paper. I finally have a digital camera and this is my first try and taking a picture and loading it.

Of course your comments are always a pleasure.

Re: Peony Tulips

Thats beautiful, I like your colors and the flowers are looking very nice. I would have made the shadows of the right front leaves a little darker. Thats all!

Wow, this is beautiful, Love your background. I was wondering if the flowers need just a little more definition in the white areas, but it may be the photo that I'm not seeing it as it really is. Nevertheless it is wonderfully airy and light.

How did we manage before digital cameras??? Talk about instant gratification!!!

Your painting is absolutely beautiful... I think it needs nothing but your signature and a frame...

These are such lovely white peony tulips and you've done a grand job on the background. Your shadows and color in the flowers are very lovely. NICE!!

I agree with the cropping.. it looks better to have things going off the page.

The cropping seems to make the flowers brighter. Like either way.

Excellent work. I think matting will supply enough of a crop.

Well done.

I agree. I like the background in this beautiful painting a lot. Terrific use of negative painting to form leaves alongside the positively painted ones and harmonious shades of blue and green.

The flowers are absolutely gorgeous. Just enough detail to show the form of the multiple layers of leaves and a nice painterly look overall.
