White horse....

....because that's all I know how to do with CPs so far ! Sure wished there was colored paper in bristol. This fills a 9x12, doesn't show the colors I used very well (all grays) and the white is the paper. (The subject does have that exaggerated dish-face.) Am learning with each effort. Thanks for looking/commenting.

Shirl, this is lovely! It downloaded slowly on my computer and I was able to enjoy each section as it came. He's got a very appealing face and you have done well.

Shirl, this is great. Everytime I see one of your horse, it makes me want to drawn a horse, but I don't have any reference images . One of these days I will get over to the librabry and get some books on horses.

I know what you mean about the coloured paper in bristol. Wouldn't that be great. I am very intimidated by c/p on white that's why I was using Mi-teintes, but it just wasn't smooth enough. This suede board is really great for blending, and it comes in different colours

Shirl, this horse is beautiful! It has so much character in that face! The only horse I've ever done I did in grade school, I believe it was chalk, and it *still* hangs in my mother's house...hmmm...may need to do another one for her so she'll take that one down...LOL.

Shirl, you have done good again. I love his sad face and his pink nose. See, there is colour there. More please.
All, you able to tint the paper with a light watercolour wash before you draw?

Thanks all. Well, white horses aren't that difficult .

Ivy, you got one of those Mothers too, huh? My whole family got sick of that drawing of mine my Mom put in the living room. They all apologized for not liking it. Was an abstract and totally ugly. When it came time to distribute all their belongings after they passed away, I took the picture down, turned around and the room was vacant!!

Think I'll stick to white horses for awhile LOL!!
