Hails from United States
inside out

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: inside out
Year Created: 2003
Medium: Oil
Surface: Wood
Dimension: 12
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
This is one of a series of diptychs and triptychs created from sketches in travel journals.It is a departure for me and I am enjoying putting multiples together.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
do these work as a diptych or better seperately...I may be avoiding making a single statement.

works great as a diptych, great use of colors, like the orange blue combination, classic! Your work with the different patterns in it reminds me somewhat of the work of the painter Vuilllard. What is the actual size?

Compositionally these are first rate. Line and form placement over the two works is excellent, with a good amount of "echo" to create the connection. Color choice is strong. I might wish to see a bit of the yellow from the center of the indoor in the outside, but this is simply a matter of personal preference.

I do wish the posted pic were a bit larger to see more detail. I get the sense that the brushwork could have been more expressive, be very hard to see in thumbnail given.

I like them both alot. I think they could stand seperately as well. I particularly like the one on the left and would love to see a larger pic!
