Cool

I had to chime in with my own take on the "assignment". Here are two examples of digital art using the original photograph as a starting point:

<IMG SRC="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/User/digitalpainting1.jpg" border=0>

<IMG SRC="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Critiques/User/digitalpainting2.jpg" border=0>

I know they aren't watercolor, so I hope people don't object too much.

Robert

Cool

Rapolina, I used frisket with a toothpick to put it on then painted the background black first... I am using the same 3 colors, perm. rose, new gamboge, and antwerp blue... I mixed all three to get the black color. I thought it was very interesting to see that Dennis and I approached the painting just about opposite from each other.. now I have all the details to paint on LOL. this is a lot of fun, you should try a version of it too sandy

It's always fun to see the variety when several people paint from exactly the same material. Maybe I'll get a chance this weekend to join in.

Thumbs up

This is a cool project. I think when we finish this one we should take on another interesting pic.

Thanks!

Cool

Neat paintings, it is more fun when all work from the same reference photos. Thats how the cafe projects started, reckon we should go back to those thoughts,comparing our different interpretations is part of the fun, the Garden Fairy was a great example of this,
