Unhappy How to frame canvas

I brought wooden canvas frame from thrift shop but its doesn’t have any clip or grip kinds of things in its back to hold the canvas.I think it’s missing.
Its 11x14 canvas, so does any one have any idea what kinds of clips or pins it’s required to attach the canvas with frame?

Hi Kashifa
You can buy the canvas clips in most art supply stores.
I believe they are sometimes called Barklips.
They run around 4 for a dollar.

One thing I did in a pinch once was to raid my husbands tool box and got what I would discribe as an L screw.
Screwed 4 of them into the back of the frame. Put in my canvas, then turned the L's to hold it in place.
I really would not recomend that tho.
Looked rather stupid!

Lightbulb Another option

Go to a good hardware store and look at the many metal brackets they have. There are ones called off-sets which come in various sizes. If the back of the canvas doesn't come flat with the back of the frame, these may work. Anyway, they have a screw hole at each end. Buy the appropriate size screws, and one goes in the frame and the other in the stretcher bars; one or two brackets per side should do it. Much more permanent and professional looking than the spring clips.
