Lighting artwork for photo's

Does anyone have any good tips on how to light my paintings and shoot them with a digicam, without getting hot spots? Are there any lights on the market (hopefully not too much $$$) that work well in the studio?

Glad it helped Gavin.

I thought it was excellent information.

If you go up to content channels and go to the various forums you will find a wealth of information in demos.

Here is one that Scott did that may also be of help to you
