How to Post an Image and Posting Two Images into One Post

1. when you hit the post reply button, scroll down to underneath the box where you put your reply.

there on the lefthand side you'll see a box that's called Options ...look to the right of where it says options and it will then have a box to check that says:

Automatically parse URLs: automatically adds and around internet addresses

Make sure this box is checked.

2. Next again on the right you'll see a box that says Attach file:
Maximum size: 1048576 bytes

to the right of that is a box that has a little window, a browse button and the note about the valid file extensions.

3. hit the browse button.

4. find the picture you'd like to post here, on your hard drive, making sure it's a file you can use...jpegs are usually best.

Also make sure there are no funky symbols or spaces in in the file name...so for example.. arlenescoloredpencil would be ok, but arlene's&*colored pe_n#$cil% wouldn't.

5. in the box that pops up on your screen with where your picture is, hit the button that says open.

write your text in the reply box and then hit the submit reply button.

Remember that any image may be no larger than 600 pixels high x 500 pixels wide and it's best to have the image set to 72 dpi to get the largest image possible seen here

Posting two images in same thread

If you scroll up, right below the drop down windows are a bunch of white buttons with orange arrows.

The first one in says my WC?
the second one says register
the third says calendar
and the fourth says uploader. This is the one we want.

When you click on it you'll see a window and next to the window will be the word browse. Click on the browse button and then search your hard drive for the first picture you'd like to upload.

When you find the picture on your hard drive, click on your open button in the window with the image you're looking to use. that will bring you back to the window with the browse next to it, and your image will have it's information in the little window.

Next click on the upload button underneath the window.

that brings you to a new page and the code you have to copy in another window. to copy the code the easiest thing to do is highlight the whole code including the and tags at the beginning and end.

to highlight press down on your left mouse button and run the mouse across all the words and symbols... the whole thing should be colored in now.

Next press at the same time your Ctrl key and your C key. This will copy the message.

Next step is to open up a post reply window and copy the image into the place where we type our messages.

to do this press your Ctrl key and your V key at the same time and it will paste the URL into the message window.

To add a second image, just repeat the process...then hit the Submit Reply button and when you look at your post you'll now see your images displayed.

Re: How to Post an Image and Posting Two Images into One Post

Hi, Arlene,

I love your artwork and your ideas about posting...BUT, that's a secondary reason for my post.

Fact is, I'm a newbie here and find this site so confoundedly difficult that I cannot navigate it properly. And, I've been computering for 30 years! I see that you're a mentor here so I decided to give you a try.

I started out looking at the large watercolor artist's fascinating site and tried to post, but the confuser (sil's name for computer) would not let me. I've forgotten the artist's name and cannot get back to the site!!! So, I'm pleading for attention...from anyone.

I am fully registered and have a password, but don't have hours at the moment to try to comprehend what's wrong. I'm a self-taught (ha...that's a laugh...have taken millions of workshops from artists all over the country and have a full library of books, videos, etc.) artist, dabbling in all types of mediums, but currently focusing on huge canvases and acrylics. That's why I wanted to to ask Mr. Watercolor Artist if he has ever tried the new watercolor stretched canvases. The largest size Cheap Joe's carries is 24X36 and it just so happens I ordered a box this morning and can't wait "til they come.

There is so much on this site, I want to participate and learn, but I'm off to the Art Museum now...Cleveland has one of THE best in the country. I'll be back to see if anybody has any comments on this pathetic post.

Markrit
