Hails from Canada
Going Home

Watercolor 21' x 14'
I did a field study of the area and then went home to the studio and this is the result.
The area is just west of where I live and the time of year was early December.

When we look at a piece of art work it has to form some kind of connection to the viewer. It must evoke a memory or stir the imagination or it will fail to cause the person to return to it and examine it further. By painting some of natures hidden treasures I hope to bring the viewer back to places or times that are stored in their memories.

Wonderful painting! Winter is not my time of year, but the painting done extremely well in my opinion: snow, shadows and snow folds are so real... Great.

Great Painting! I particularly loved the foreground rocks, I feel like I can reach out and touch them. Nice composition, with a good sense of distance. Thanks for posting a winter painting on such a hot day! I got cold looking at it!

Awesome!

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the rocks in the foreground. The snow is wonderfully realistic. Very nice watercolor.
