This captures the light of the sky and silhouetting of the mast beautifully. Somewhat vertiginous!

My wife said the same thing when she first saw it!
And thanks for the very generous words and the 2 claps!

Ceiliog: Thank you for saying that. The lines in the ref pic called to me
trish: Thanks!
Marion: Thank you
Dave: I don't think I've used vertiginous in a sentence before. I get a kick out of that. Thanks.

...it's not that abstract is it? LOL
Glad that your eyes find interest in it. Means a lot. Thank you.

Kathy: The greatest thrill for me in painting is to evoke a feeling in the viewer -- Whatever it is. And now, you and the rest of the crew are dizzy! That is awesome!

Woah! That is a compliment I don't know if I am worthy of, but I am honored that you would say such a thing. Thank you!

It is scary when people know your thoughts LOL
Thank you for the kind words.

It seems each new WDE forces me to work a little harder. This one was challenging to me for the thin straight line. Up until this point, I haven't done one like this in any painting. Straight lines in oil or any medium can be challenging. At the last minute something worked and I enjoyed the process. Thanks for a great WDE.
