🇨🇦November 29, 2019 at 4:14 am #912523When I first saw the title I thought it said ‘Quirky Australian’ and wondered if it might be a self-portrait! Seriously, these are wonderful. I love how they have bands of almost rainbow-like colour going across them. I love them all, but maybe the second just tips it, with its stronger contrasts and those little roos. I love the fg pinks in the first also. Lovely, unusual work, Michael.
Yes they made me smile, and feel warmer too, as it’s going to be -4C tonight.

November 29, 2019 at 8:03 am #912522Quirky, yet light filled and colorful. They convey a sense of affection for the scene and they do make me smile! I like how the last one runs the spectrum of color from foreground to background, right in order!

Thanks Trudi – Re – When I first saw the title I thought it said ‘Quirky Australian’ and wondered if it might be a self-portrait!
Now that would be interesting. The result would be hilarious, no doubt. Thanks Bardo – Re – I like how the last one runs the spectrum of color from foreground to background, right in order!
I try to paint like a child with this style & attempt to include all the colors of the spectrum as a child would do. Appreciated. Thanks Caroline – Re – Makes me smile and feel instantly happy when viewing your quirky Australian scenes. Charming paintings,
My intentions exactly. Glad you like them. Thanks – Mike, Wes, John, Lucy – This is an invented technique which is good exercise for the imagination but does absolutely nothing for my drawing skills/perception etc due to lack of visual stimulus. Therefore, avoiding repetition is my main challenge.
Appreciate Your Comments !Michael.
