This is a loose 9×12 drawing of my friend Ralph on Strathmore’s Toned Grey paper. He’s a great guy and lots of fun to be with. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for looking.

C & C WelcomeJune 26, 2019 at 6:58 pm #846205I really like the casual tilt of his head. It says, “I’m really into fishing and having a few laughs.”

web site , Getting started in soft pastels., What you need to know, Critique Guide LinesJune 27, 2019 at 5:51 am #846207Thank you Pam, Ginny and Karen for your nice comments. I thought the tilt gave it a feeling of motion. When we’re out in the boat together the boat rocks back and forth. So I was trying to capture that feeling. I’ve also colored his face a little red because we are expose to a lot of sun.

EstherThank you. It’s nice when a plan works out. I may have him tilted a bit too much. I had thought to crop the drawing so that he tilted less. -
