15×22 watercolor on Winsor Newton 140 lb cold press paper, painted wet into wet, of my studio roses in front of the south window. I used a 1″ flat sable for this. My photo I used shows the purple shutters before they were painted pale green with pink trim.

Kay, I like everything about this work with the exception of the wall colors in the background. To my eyes the colors in the wall are so similar to the colors of your roses that there is a lack of contrast between the two. By the way your roses are indeed very beautiful. Over all a great job!:)

I thought I commented yesterday,,, very nice one Kay, I didnt notice it when I first looked,but pawpaw may have a point,but on the other hand the lightness on the right kept my eye from returning there and my eye settled on the rose on the left,,, Thanks for sharing, its a really strong painting
