A group I belong to had an Indian dance expert model and talk about the history and moves of her particular style of dance. Most of the time she was constantly moving, talking about the stamping rhythm, the meaning of the hand gestures and the design of the costume – fascinating but SO difficult to sketch!
She’s a doctor by day and once a week she dances.
Finally we asked if she could sit down for us and let us catch our breath
Fantastic night sketching lovely colours and lots of gold. I used a fountain pen and Caran d’Ache Neocolour II with some cheap waxy watersoluble crayons from Lidl (? they were a present so not certain if Lidl or Aldi)

April 21, 2019 at 6:56 pm #813743Impressive, that must have been quite difficult to capture in color with the model moving around… while jotting comments as well!

My art materials blog: http://sunsikell.wordpress.comApril 22, 2019 at 3:47 am #813740it was! but I knew it wasn’t going to be easy so I’d taken the Caran d’Achje Neocolour II knowing I could get marks and colour down fast with it. So I ws just holding 3 colours and a pen/pencil plus a waterbrush.
