Re: February Plant Parade Challenge

Would ferns be considered leaves? I have a longing to work on some ferns...if not, I will wait on them, but hoping.

Blessings and gratitude that Spring is closer and closer each day!

Re: February Plant Parade Challenge

Thanks Kay - love that first pic you have - but those colours of leaves on the drive are spectacular!

LynneDe - I think fern fronds could be accepted as leaves - OK Kay?

Re: February Plant Parade Challenge

Yes Kay it will be a fun challenge. It's made me study leaves more closely than I'd already done. I was walking my dog in Queen's Park yesterday and was looking at a pond with huge Gunnera leaves - they look like enormous Rhubarb leaves! Fascinating!

Re: February Plant Parade Challenge

Thank you! I shall do my best...since I figured how to send my photos to my Google drive, I have a way to download them, whereas it won't read my phone if I use the USB cord, I deleted something essential to the process I guess, and don't want to wipe everything out and start over...

Blessings and Gratitude, LynneDe

I've not yet started. Shane, I'm sure you've got many different leaves where you live.

Re: February Plant Parade Challenge

Our garden has quite a variety of plants and leaves. I've started a detailed piece, It's a medley of leaves and ferns taken from a recent trip to the rainforest, a little bit outside the box though.

Re: February Plant Parade Challenge

I have started creating my ferns and leaves in air-dried clay...it's a challenge to me for sure, since snowstorms continue to take up time and energy that I'd like to have to myself. But I did get some clay made, Cold Porcelain is something you can make yourself, so I have plenty to work with. I'm hoping to make a duplicate arrangement of the one I gave my dad for his 80th birthday. It disappeared from the nursing home. They don't know if another patient took it or if he threw it away....but it's gone...and I had used one of my wooden salad bowls to put it in...so now I have 3 instead of 4...so this will leave me 2.... Interesting to work on the greens for sure. Thank you!

Blessings and gratitude, Spring weather is coming and daily the sunshine gets brighter both inside my heart and outside. LynneDe
