Time to post your TWO favourite watercolour paintings done in 2018. I suggest you limit the picture size to fit within 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high to show off your work to its best advantage to avoid having to scroll the screen. Put a new line before uploading and a new line between your pictures.

Simply post your pictures with just the titles and size. Please use the Uploader for your pictures if at all possible as attached pictures often go missing.

No discussion please in this thread.

Remember this thread is only for the two favourite watercolour paintings you painted in 2018.

Here’s a link to the 2017 Art show.

I look forward to seeing your paintings.

These are probably my two favourite from 2018. The first is a caribou inspired by a print I bought from a large retailer. It was my first (and only, so far) attempt at using hot press paper. The second is a grain elevator inspired by the Humbolt Broncos crash and the death of Gord Downie. Each goose flying away from this prairie scene represents the Broncos players and Downie.

Hard to choose. I chose selected the first one because I learned how to paint using a primary triad and the second because it ended up just as I’d imagined.
