Korcula

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Korcula
Year Created:
Medium: Acrylic
Surface: Canvas
Dimension: 60x40cm 24x16
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
My first bigger painting in my life. Based on my multiple visits to Korcula, Croatia and traveling by my 3.3m 11 feet inflatable boat on the Lumbarda-Korcula route. I attach a charcoal study which helped me to paint. I used an exaggerated gesture line of the city, it's less flat and more interesting than in reality

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Please let me know what to improve!

Re: Korcula

Had a great holiday, a few years ago in Croatia. Brings back memories of that area. Very nice.

JenieJo thank you for your comment, I think you looked at wrong picture. I reattached the correct one above

Re: Korcula

Nice perspective and handling of cool and warm colors. I would have eliminated the tangent of the tower and the mountain behind it. Good job

Re: Korcula

Thank you!! I painted it before I was aware of cold and warm colors
I see what do you mean by tangent, indeed it's a little disturbing

Re: Korcula

I would tone down the roofs, but some like to paint that way so I don't know if it was intended also in terms of composition mast is too close to the edge so you could shorten it
