Rainbow lorikeets

I have been trying out difference surfaces recently as I wasn't very happy with the latest batch of canvas board I normally use. I think so far these wooden panels are my new favourite! Also using these guys as a colour-mixing exercise

This are beautiful. Wonderful vibrant color.

If you like the panels I bet you would love Yupo or something similiar. Its a synthetic paper that is smooth and non absorbent and won't fall apart or warp.

Beautiful. So bright and cheery. I really like the negative space, too. I'd like to see a few soft edges, though, and maybe a little tone variation in the background. The feathers on the heads especially is superb.

Re: Rainbow lorikeets

Very well painted - though I think Phranque has some valid observations!
You really have mastered acrylic technique for the kind of work you do.
The colours are glorious!

Re: Rainbow lorikeets

Wow, very nice.

We call these "the noisies" at my place. They have their routines down. They come and land and start with the cute little chirps which I am sure is their polite way of asking "please human, i am ever so hungry, can you spare a bit of bread?". If you ignore them (they know if you are home and in there) they get more loud like they start yelling at you "well? come on!".
