Emma's first watercolor (childs painting)

I have been giving a watercolor class to 5 and 6 year olds in our school districts summer enrichment program. Emma took a private lesson and this is the painting she finished today. It is of a still life on 140 lb paper. As you can see she is very proud of her painting and I told her I would show it to all my artist friends on wetcanvas. The best part is when I told Mom she would do a picture suitable to frame she laughed. When she saw this she cried and it will be matted framed and hung in the familyroom.

Emma's Painting

Miss Mouse this child is gifted. I hope that she finds encouragement along the way with her art.

Emma

If you love painting then never let anything stop you from doing what you enjoy. There is a special place for artist in this world.
