Wonderful Waxwing

7x5 watercolor and ink on discarded book page, sketched with Pigma Micron 01 pen by Sakura. The bird is one of several images I've posted for May's Watermedia forum monthly challenge for artists to choose from, and is courtesy RIL/photo by Dave Slaughter (thanks Dave).
C&C welcome

Re: Wonderful Waxwing

I just saw three Waxwings in a tree the other day, so I had to check this out. I'm loving this series of paintings on book pages. It mingles beautifully with your style. The colors in this are stunning. That background! It compliments the bird so well. Fantastic work, Kay!

Re: Wonderful Waxwing

Is very nice Kay, ain't you concern about durability of the art work?... I hope you selected a good quality book paper

Another beautiful watercolour. I love interest added by using a recycled book page for your artwork, it makes what you do so different to everyone else.

One of my favourite birds. This is really nice, I love the colours. I read the page too, the place name Boscastle jumped out at me and I love it there! So there's a lot to like here for me.
