Bare-faced Go-away Bird

Here's my newest piece that I just completed yesterday! This is a Bare-faced Go-away Bird from Tanzania. I'm very happy with the outcome and he turned out even better than I expected. I had so much fun watching this guy in Africa and I couldn't wait to do a piece of him. Hope you all enjoy!

"Bare-faced and Beautiful"
11" X 14"
Scratchboard
My own ref used.

Brilliant work. No wonder you are pleased!

Scratchboard is such a good medium for texture of feathers and fur!

Haha, thanks so much Chammi! Yeah, it was awesome to see them!

Thanks very much, fedetony! Nope, I don't have a zoo near me, so most of my photos are taken from the wild when I get the chance.

Nice job! Do you know why they call it a Go Away Bird?

Re: Bare-faced Go-away Bird

Thanks very much, Cat! It's because of the call they make. Kind of sounds like "Go Away".

Thanks a lot, David!
