Re: Birdy

This is really nice, a folk art feeling, but why on a piece of log? Is it utilitarian, as in a coaster for a cup of hot chocolate? Is it all painted or wood burning?

Because this log came with a dump truck load of wood I bought to heat my house and I thought I would use it rather than burn it. It's much to big for a coaster about fifteen inches round. It is almost entirely woodburnt with a little bit of marker coloring the bird. It's currently hanging on my wall.
