Peyto Drama, 36 x 24 XPost

This is a digital painting, which I would print and then further enhance by hand.

Sometimes I imitate natural media, and sometimes I let the media do whatever it feels like doing, like in this case. Painting trees like they are done here in natural media would require a loaded brush (a brush loaded with several different colors), but the technique (and the result of course) is slightly different in the digital world.

I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

Nice work. Kind of makes me think of Group of 7 stuff.

Pretty colors and quite different painting strokes.

Thanks Michelle and Lucy.

Yes Michelle, the Group of 7 is where I get a lot of inspiration, also Mike Svob, Allan Dunfield and Michael O'Toole.

Cheers.

Your mountains remind me of Georgia O'keefe. Love this style of painting.
