Hi Carol, My scan was a little dark so I tried it again this morning. The truth is somewhere between the two.. ...is laughing out loud!! This is lighter and I also can see the back of the egret needs shaded a little darker. (thank you) My scanner must not be 15 inches long because each time a couple inches gets cut off.

A Question. I am allowed to sign my name to this but what is the proper way to give credit on the back of the work. Thanks, Sandy

Well I tried it. This is my second attempt at the lake. I didn't have frisket so the yellow was alittle difficult and I kept mudding my colors, but here it is for what its worth.

Mal... don't worry about credit with me, unless you want to credit WC for publishing it. I like this lighter version a lot, and I bet the "middle version" is even better. Scanners can be so frustrating!

Tammy... Good going! Kind of hard to do without frisket, but that considered, you did well! It looks like maybe you introduced some green into the pinks of the water, and that can cause a mudddy look. If it really bothers you, try to "lift" some of it with a clean damp brush..let dry, then drop in some light color. Don't scrub, or the fibers will get disturbed and not accept new color well.
