"f: X→ℝ, x₀∈X, f(x₀) <= f(x) ∀ x∈X"

Needed some break-off from my overly technocratic regular works, both in technique and colors.

"f: X→ℝ, x₀∈X, f(x₀) <= f(x) ∀ x∈X"
Oil on Canvas, 120x100cm

I have no idea what that title means but you got great depth with your colors.

Took me a while to figure out what was going on.
And the title didn't help!

Re: "f: X→ℝ, x₀∈X, f(x₀) <= f(x) ∀ x∈X"

Thank you all for the great feedback.

Regarding the title: It's one mathematical definition for the global minimum ("the deepest point") of a function, reffering to the perspective (among other things) of this painting.

Best regards,

Sascha

Great job your color choices provide great depth, making the subject stretch on for ever great translation of the interesting view interesting choice of angle, make me want to try something with this view.

Love the POV. It flirts with abstraction, something I'm guessing most viewers will either love or hate. I happen to like it.

And thanks for the explanation of the title. I'm guessing you'll find few artists who would get the mathmatic equation on their own, myself among them.

The POV is very startling. Would you consider posting this in the Inspirational art forum? And probably not too many math heads there either=so maybe explain title-or not. I enjoyed wondering about it. And truly like the POV. Thanks
