From Within

So I seem to be going two different directions with my painting these days. One is the detailed realism of my last post - The Rose Garden.
The other is this fantasy leaning style. So much for consistency! Ha.
All C&C welcome!

Re: From Within

Personally, I'm partial to fantasy, and this is fantastic. The sky glowing through the leaves is, well, warming.

Re: From Within

Yes, the light is gorgeous, do is the halo effect around the leaves.

Re: From Within

With the strong form and lush colour, this is very appealing to me. The light is a perfect complement to the season, and the shadows a sombre reminder that there is also darkness. Two thumbs up!

Re: From Within

It may have more of a fantasy feel but it also speaks the truth. I really like it.

Re: From Within

Thank you Colin, Michelle and David.
It's interesting exploring this style. It taps into more of the unspoken places inside me. And so is more satisfying and at the same time it makes me feel more vulnerable and unsure. From a place where there are no words.
