Barely the butt icon (heh, pun) but in the last and this one she's undraped, sort of! Anyhow, the goals for this one were to work fast, try not to overwork, try to fix the color problems in the last one (Insomnia), work the background in a similar manner (since that was a problem last time too) and still have some fun (whew). I did but it was a late enough 'nighter' that my model fell asleep (twitched a few times and everything). What's working? What's not?
Oil on canvas, 16"x20", alla prima...did I leave anything out?

Nothing in this doesn't work for me.... although I prefered the brighter colours used in the previous ones... You are doing good.

Thanks a lot PJL, learning to control that stuff is like learning to get up on a surfboard. I've been eating a lot of whitewater lately for it.

Deevaa, I was really going for toned down and I miss the colors too. I was at first going to make the futon a very muted sage green and just couldn't control myself any longer. Thanks for loving the color too, I think that's one of the things I love so much about your work, those rich colors. Howz the gold leaf anyhow?

Thumbs up

zOTMA!! great work, this is really good! and so late! your such a night owl... I'd have a hard time drawing a happy face if I stayed up that late!
The only have one constructive criticism, and that is the perspective/proportion on the right leg, below the knee, around the foot.
The rest of the painting looks great, definetly more natural colours. The sheet, looks really good, natural and realistic. Really good stuff, excellentai.

thanks TeAnne!

mARZ, yep a total night owl. Can barely work during the day, the later, the better. Managed a happy face but not a happy foot, leg! You're right. Thanks for the honest criticism and the strokes too.
