Re: November Plant Parade!

Wow Meryl, you were on a roll again! Nice on all three but love the third one with the rainbow halo!

I'm posting mine cos I'll be busy tomorrow and I'm off to bed soon.
Digi using Serif DrawPlusX6 - vector drawings/paintings, each flower done separately then 'arranged'.

You asked for a 'Rainbow' Pat .....

... and because each was done separately, I get more for my money!!!

A Rainbow Bouquet ...

Re: November Plant Parade!

Meryl, welcome and thanks for getting us started!!!! Viv, we are waiting for yours a bit later!!

Meryl, what beauties!! Love the reminder of the Begonias that grew at my home when I was growing up!! The Lilies are stunning and so screaming for attention!! The last one is so delicate and lush!! Always love your work!! What is the size of these lovelies?

Maureen, I am sure that you are snoozing away, but so glad you left us with these digis that you are learning to do so well!! Love the 'marriage' of all the flowers, too!! So pretty!! As usual, you have met the assignment!!

Alas, I have to turn in a failing grade for this month, too, but I have waited all day to see what beauties everyone has painted!! Mine is still in my head. . .where, oh, where is my painting going to return??? Elaine needs to be here to goad me!! Right, Elaine??? Waiting for the rest, so, hurry 25th!!

Hugs, Peeps, Katherine

Re: November Plant Parade!

Meggs, those lilies are gorgeous.
Maureen - stunning work.
Vivien - I take part in these challenges as I have to work hard at each and every flower painting
The black iris is so beautiful, I just had to try it in oils, 6x7
My try at digital painting with gimp. I'm still working hard at those soft edges , but I think the colors turned out okay.

Re: November Plant Parade!

Meggsy - Many thanks for beginning the posting for this months PP.
Lovely paintings! Like them all but I think the red Alstromerier would be my favourite although, like Maureen, I do love that halo rainbow around the last one!

Maureen - you are getting SO good at these digis! Great work on them! Cant pick a favourite out of them...both brilliant!

Christel - we cross-posted. Beautiful work!

Mine is still on the board, whether it will appear or not is anyones guess!

Re: November Plant Parade!

Thanks for the lovely comments.
Kathy - Beautiful wc rose. I still find Wc an extremely difficult medium.
Jean - great digital work. I now know how much work goes into them, Lovely zentangle.

Re: November Plant Parade!

Hi everyone! The garden is off to a great start.

Meggs - Beautiful reds and greens. I love the lilies!
Maureen - A floral rainbow, what a great idea. These digis are lovely.
Christel - Both are so vibrant and eye-catching.
Kathy - A lovely watercolor rendering.
Jean - Art Rage sure gives realistic results! I really like the touches of magenta in the rose.

Here are mine. I'm always happy when I can put a little purple into my work, so painting this clematis was a joyful experience. Oil on 5" x 7" panel.

I also did one on the suflowers. Oil on 7" x 5" panel

Thanks for hosting, Pat! This was a fun challenge. To those in the States, Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: November Plant Parade!

What beautiful flowers of all colors this month. Love them all. The rose gave me some trouble in watercolors and the sunflowers were done a while ago also done in watercolor.
Thank you Pat for hosting this month and looking forward to the next challenge.

Re: November Plant Parade!

Christel - beautiful iris, very rich. What do you mean with a for your rose? - it's gorgeous! Colours are true and soft'n'hard edges are there in the right places! Lovely!

Kathy - this is a lovely painting - delicate us of the paint on those petals.

Jean - the finesse of your ArtRage work never fails to impress me - the rose is dramatic and yet subtle, love the 'old look' of the pansies' colouring and the zentangles looks fun! Never thought of doing them in a graphics prog!!!

Sandy - beautiful and bold clematis, good light and shade .... love the sunflowers with those rich brushstrokes. Yummy!

Lil - two beauties here - particularly like the boldness of the sunflowers with that dramatic lighting.

Thank you for all the comments on mine

Re: November Plant Parade!

Christel, what a beautiful black Iris!! Love those touches of blue shining through!! Well, I think you are in league with Maureen and Jean with your digi!! It is a beauty!!

Kathy, love the details in your Rosebud especially the ‘bug damage’ place! It adds to the beauty and life of the Rose! Love your palette!!

Jean, wow, the last one is ideal for the challenge!! Your Rosebud is simply wonderful and the Pansies are begging for their attention, too!! Beautiful work, GF!!

Sandy, what splashes of color!! Love the in-your-face of the Clematis and the splash of the Daisies!! Wonderful palettes!!

Lil, look at the light in both of your paintings, but especially the Daisies!! Wonderful work!! Sizes?

Pat, thank you for coming up with a unique idea of a variety of colors in the flowers!! What a joy to see!! Thank you for hosting, too!!

Katherine
