Tango WIP

Well, folks, here we go!
This is on a 24x36 board and is starting out kinda rough. These large boards are hard to wield, so I have to work this top part upside down.
This is probably going to take a while and I can't scan it so you will have to deal with my camera work. On top of that our camera broke. I can't change the settings.
The photo is from JKIESECKER on flickr.

Re: Tango WIP

Thank you all!

Ginger and Harold, when I was a painter I did my large canvases top halves upside down.
Because of back problems I can't stand for very long so I can't work at an easel. Fortunately, the way I think about my working technique helps a lot. When I see a face I see a bunch of shapes, (circles wedges, triangles, etc.) This is what I put on the board, so upside down or sideways, it makes no difference.

I will take more pictures today and post them, hopefully the camera will cooperate.

Diana

Re: Tango WIP

Love, love, love this subject! I love seeing dancers portrayed in art. This is such a great picture that really shows off the characteristic close embrace and theatricality I always see of when I watch tango dancers. I can hear the music already.
