What are you sending to the ISSA show in NC?

After seeing the "I dare you"s between Harold and Jonathan on Jonathan's thread, Jonathan urged me to start a new one of what we are sending to the ISSA exhibition in North Carolina.

If you do not want to show yours before the 'unveiling' no problem.

Here is mine:
Equine Elegance, 18x24

Good grief! The competition is going to be intense this year! Great pieces, Sue and Ann. Gotta find mine and will post (WHY did I start this challenge, for Pete's sake?)

I really LOVE (make that envy) the restrained, minimalist approach and hope to master it someday. Mine are pretty lousy photos that accentuate the "gawdy." How does one remove an upload from this forum??

Leave them Jonathan... they are exquisite!

First, a 5x7 of the Page-Walker Arts and History Center

Second, Early Warning. 28x32 before framing.

Re: What are you sending to the ISSA show in NC?

I hate to disrupt a thread, especially one with such beautiful boards being shown BUT my query of Jonathan about his bringing the beautiful waterfall board was NOT a challenge. I would never do that. Artist often bring a few boards that aren't entered in the show just to share during our freetime. That's what I was inferring, not was he entering it in the show. I should have made myself more clear, no doubt. I prefer not to know what is being entered truthfully. I'd rather be surprised at the show. Besides, I would have to be a complete idiot to challenge Jonathan to anything artistic. I may be dumb but I'm not stupid.

Re: What are you sending to the ISSA show in NC?

You know Harold, I've already seen the entries and we all know that seeing them in real life and up close cannot compare to an online photo. This will not diminish my excitement in the least!

Re: What are you sending to the ISSA show in NC?

You are exactly right, Ginger. There is no comparison, but, I was just offering my thoughts on it. I wasn't wanting to disrupt anything, just didn't want anyone thinking I was putting a challenge to Jonathan. I was just hoping to see more of his work. He is such a fantastic scratcher and artist I hope to learn from him. I hope no one takes my post as a negative one. It wasn't intended to be. Please continue.

I just wanted to say that if I offended anyone or spoiled their fun, please forgive me. My comments don't always come out the same when written, as they are when running amuck in my head.

No disruptions at all Harold and I never took your words as a challenge! This will be the first ISSA Exhibition I get to attend (finally!), so have no clue what to expect. Can't wait to meet and learn from YOU and see whatever eye candy you care to bring. Sorry if there were any misunderstandings.
