yellow tree and boat
How does this one look? These bloom around here, the whole tree turns yellow with very few leaves. 8x10 oil, mostly knife, a little brush. Lorijo

Neat little boat! I love the orange in the palm tree... is that a date palm? The whole painting is very charming, and I like it!

Thanks Katz and Helen! Helen, I think it is a date palm, the other is a princess palm and I don't know what the yellow tree is! Lorijo

Hi Lorijo,
Very nice mix of colours and shapes to make a very interesting work, like it a lot. I may be following in your footsteps with the yellow theme, it is spring here now and the wattles and acacias are a blaze yellow. The wildflowers are all emerging so the understory of our local bush is a mass of colour, lots of very intense yellow but also orange, red and purple. Pretty well irresistible if you are interested in landscape!

Thanks Marty, I will be looking forward to seeing your work, it does sound lovely. My yellow tree might be an acacia too but I am not sure. We are getting into fall here now. Lorijo

Hi Lorijo,I can't keep up with all those paintings, you are posting/painting,you must be in the flow.
Those blue sky's of you,I will recognize every-where,very blue/bright,I love them
I can see a bit of pinkish background cover, works very well.
what I like a lot about this plein air forum ,is the fact you can see the weather, people are having all over the world!

Thanks Rob, no painting today, had about 3 inches of rain! Well, I did put a few little people in a couple of paintings. I almost alway use a pink undercoat. Then prussian, cerulean or ultramarine blue according to my mood in the sky or a combination. Lorijo

Hi lorijo I enjoy looking at your your work! Besides your lovely trees, and the boat, your dark water catches my eye. There is a lot to look at in this, and I have looked several times!! Love the texture too. Great work!
(Can't wait to see what Marty comes up with too.)
Wish I could paint half as well as ya'll!
