Monthly PEN & INK Project -- March, 2014.

Hi Everyone,

The following are the Images for our Monthly P&I Project, and I hope lots of you will join in and have some fun with all of us during the month.

Rules For The Monthly P&I Project:-

1) Use one or more of the photos.

2) Credit the Photographer of the photo(s) in your first post. They are listed in the first post each month.

3) Drawings may be any size, as small or as large as you like.

4) You may choose to pen in all black, all monochrome, or coloured penwork. If you wish you may also use a wash of Watercolours or Coloured Pencils etc. Entirely your choice, as long as Pen and Ink is a major contribution.

Marriam looking good, I also attempted Still Life by JEFrantz, not thrilled with how I worked the basket and haven't decided if I like the veggies , sure is interesting how everyone makes different marks.

I tried my hand at the truck. Credit to GAP for the photograph. And that was quite fun.. especially since I have never drawn a truck in my life hehe.

Re: Monthly PEN & INK Project -- March, 2014.

Credit to Rod, I did his dahlia quickly too.. but just on my cheapie chinese watercolor paper block. So the background is not too hot as it is not proper paper despite the block saying "watercolor" paper hehe.

Re: Monthly PEN & INK Project -- March, 2014.

Thanks Paul nice job you did on that same truck, yeah I like watercolors, and I just love COLOR. So despite being a great fan of pen and ink sketches I like to add some color to them. Your depiction is much more accurate than mine of course since you even added those patches where the paint has peeled off while I did not for insatance. Well done.

Re: Monthly PEN & INK Project -- March, 2014.

It is great to see the drawings that have been posted so far.

marriam -- Good effort with the Still Life.

Kathy -- Great to see your good Still Life too.

Magdalene -- Welcome to another Aussie to the P&I Forum. I really like your old red truck, and the colour too. You have wonderful shape with the Dahlia petals, as that isn't an easy flower to draw. Great work.

Paul -- Great work with the old Red Truck. Very good drawing.

Skip -- I really like your take on the Budgie. A great drawing and super colour.

Val.

Re: Monthly PEN & INK Project -- March, 2014.

Thanks a lot Valchina.. hope there is no limit to what you can add here. I decided to do the veggies as well, they looked so colorful. Thanks JEFrantz for the image. And thank you Toowoomba and everyone else and for sharing your work. That is so much of the fun, seeing how and what other people draw. Next time I will try to do just a pen and ink no watercolor for a change.
