January 2014 Plant parade.

Hello and Happy New Year to everybody!

My name is Tatiana and I'm starting brand-new plant-parade thread for January 2014.
This time we all will paint delicate snowdrops and dream of spring!

Let me remind you some rules:

1) Any artist may participate, any medium, any approach.. It is all totally up to Your personal creativity.

2) You have to stay with my selection of the FLOWER. You do NOT have to stay with my section of pictures. use those only if it is something You want to use. otherwise You are welcome to look for inspiration at WC image library.

Here is a link to see library selection:
http://www.wetcanvas.com/RefLib/showgallery.php?cat=556

3) We are NOT to post any images here till the end of month. We all may start posting starting from January 25.

If You did more then one painting, You are welcome to post all You painted. Please tell us few words about You inspiration, medium of choice etc.

I'm posting some reference choices for You here, but You are very welcome to use Your own ones as well!

See Your paintings here at the end of month!
Have fun!

Thanks Tatiana - love snowdrops and mine will be showing here soon - but perhaps not early enough to paint

Beautiful refs,
Will try my hardest to join in this month.

Every Feb, when I was in the UK, I visited an abbey garden which had a superb display of different varieties of snowdrops. They are beautiful individually, but en masse they are spectacular.

We're very quiet - I hope that means we're all painting/drawing/embroidering/sculpting /etc snowdrops!

Hi all - Nope, no painting/drawing or anything of Snowdrops begun yet!
I've had a couple of days away on holiday, but will get back into it immediately...I promise.

Hey Carol, Adelaide hit 45 celsius the other day, they reckon 2013 was the hottest in Australian history on average.... I think this one will beat that record hands down.

I heard. It was on the news here. Grapes were apparently shriveling on the vine.

Re: January 2014 Plant parade.

Snowdrops and the RED map of Downunder just don't gel somehow!

I'm waiting for my snowdrops to push through enough but looks like they're late this year - that, or someone dug 'em up when weeding!!! I had a LOT!

Re: January 2014 Plant parade.

Our snowdrops are up.

They are agitating to be painted.

I might give in to their demands in time to get something done for the challenge.
