Yeah...it may need something over on the viewer right behind the foreground onion. Also not sure why but the celery in the jug is kind of distracting...maybe it's too "straight" up...not sure. Overall nice job!

Celery...

I looked at this last night, but decided to wait and see because my overall feeling was simple... I love it. I love the bright colors, I love the Van Gough effect of black around the vegetables... but there was something... .

You have not used the black Van Gough effect around the celery so it stands out as different and too soft around the edges. The rest of the composition pops.

Another tomato?

I just realized you were only asking us about the tomato composition. I think the two work fine. I don't think the red reflection of the two tomatos would be so perfectly curved. Place something round in front of a vase or lamp and see if the reflection is that mirror perfect with ceramic.

I love the style and colors. I have a fondness for the black outlining in paintings. However the two tomatoes so centered does bother me. Rather than adding another, I would take out the right hand one.

Also, the pitcher is on an entirely different plane that the rest of the piece. This may be intentional, and if so, then ignore me. But I would like to see it from looking down as we are in the rest of this pretty painting.

Wow!

What you did with the celery made the whole composition work for me. I love it. This is really nice.
