Thank you paintonbrush!

I had previously taken about 8 years away from any sort of artwork. But I forgot to mention that in the horse picture, I wasn't happy with the portion of the mane in the center. It's a blemish to my eye...but a perfectionist I tend to be.

Hi Heather

I had to come peek at your work. I see what you mean about the mane. But they both are very good drawings. Shading is well done. Hope to see more soon.

Thank you all for your encouraging words! I hope to have more to post soon!

I'm really trying to focus on loosening up more, and letting it flow instead of being so focused on perfection. I'm hoping to learn a lot here! I took a couple of art classes in high school, and that's what my teacher kept trying to teach me.

Heather-

Welcome, and your work is beautiful. If you want to loosen up you work, try a medium that is more difficult to achieve detail. I lean toward charcoal and crayon, others move to watercolor.

Remember, perfection is an illusion.

Post more!
